Is Separation Anxiety on the Way Out

Things seem to be going a bit better in babyland…

Thade and I went to Church this morning and Dylan didn’t make a peep. Dylan usually throws a gigantic fit if he sees me make a move for my car keys. I also took Dylan to MOPS on Friday, and there was barely a whimper out of him as I left the nursery. Could the months and months of separation anxiety be all over? I kinda hope so.

The Costume Parade

One of the fun things to do this weekend was the Costume Parade downtown. It was a nice sunny day, and the boys could not wait to go… Oh yeah, there was plenty of candy and good times trick-or-treating the local businesses too.

Thade loved getting to wear his Iron Man costume, and Dylan won second place in the animals category. I think he makes a pretty good tiger. The event was a lot of fun, and the boys brought home plenty of treats too.

Dylan Has Taken Over the House

Recently I have taken down a few of the gates/barriers that have kept Dylan out of the Kitchen and Dining Room, so Dylan has a lot of new found places to play. Good for Dylan… He now has more room to play, good for James and Thade they no longer have to maneuver around the barriers, bad for Nico though… Every room is a mess, and I am cleaning endlessly.

So the de-cluttering begins again, as does my desperate search for storage options to keep the house manageable. I’m off to go clean (again), Dylan has taken out all of the coloring books in the dining room.

Little Faces

My little guys love to watch the World go by the front door… They watch for the Trolley, and they look for neighbors walking dogs. They are always there to wave to the Mail Carrier early in the morning. Every so often I’ll catch them making silly faces out the front door too.

New Shoes

With Fall on the way it was time for Dylan to get a new pair of shoes. I saved almost every pair of shoes that were Thade’s when he was little, but somehow they are either way too big for Dylan or for another season. Oh well, he’s gotta have them, so Dylan picked out Thomas the Train shoes.

Dylan loves his new shoes, and he wants to wear them all the time. I’ll put his new shoes on his little feet, and he’ll run around the house, yelling “go, go”. It makes me smile to see Dylan so excited about those little shoes.

Dang, now I want new shoes…
