Busy days

The last 2 days have been non-stop. Thade is trying his hardest to give up naps all together (bummer). Dylan is now skipping 2 naps a day, and nursing an extra 2 times a at night(really big bummer). I’ve been wearing him more and more in the Snugli so I can get a few phone calls made, and e-mail all caught up without him yelling at me constantly. He is a little “mommy attached” at the moment.

I took the boys shopping yesterday. We did pretty good on the savings side, and both of the boys were great at the stores. Our Walgreens hasn’t opened yet, so we are still driving 30 minutes away. I can’t wait for our Walgreens to open, it will save me so much time, and gas money too. Now if we could just get Dillons, Aldi, and Arby’s in our town, we would be all set.

Today I’m cleaning, doing laundry, and baking some items for the weekend. James has been craving Chex Mix, I can’t say no to making that. Great now I’m craving that too. Better go and grab a late lunch while I have a chance.

Never mind the lunch,I hear Dylan waking up from his nap. I had better get back to the little guy.

New Haircut

One of my Walgreens purchases was a 17 piece Conair home haircutting system(clippers). I bought it for $14.49, and it was well worth every penny.

About a year ago we took Thade to a hair stylist for his first hair cut, and he was so scared. He kicked and screamed throughout the entire haircut, so I decided to start cutting his hair at home. I’m not so handy with scissors over comb, so I thought a clipper would be a good investment.

The Conair clipper was so easy to use, and barely made any noise, which is helpful with a squirmy nervous toddler. Thade was a little leery about the clippers at first, but was soon content, and happy to be rid of his shaggy hair. I really enjoyed using the clippers, and all of the attachments too. I highly recommend this system. His haircut turned out great, and Mommy saved some money too!

Just a few minutes

Both of the boys are down for a nap. Thank goodness, this has been quite a demanding day, mostly from the three year old. Thade has been in quite a mood today, I’m blaming the bad mood on a growth spurt (maybe). Dylan has been nursing more too, growth spurt also. Dylan is already wearing size 3-6 months in clothes, and he is just over 2 months old. He is getting so big already.

I’ve gotten a few things done while I have a couple of moments to myself. I just washed my second load of laundry, put away 2 loads of laundry away upstairs, stocked hubby’s office fridge, and got a jump start on dinner. I made pasta salad, and German Chocolate Caramel Cookies. Super yummy!

Yahoo for Donuts

Last night was a very late night, and this morning was a very early morning. Springtime is not agreeing with my nose, I was up all night with allergies. Dylan was up at 5:00 a.m., ready to eat,
James up at 6:00 a.m., and Thade once again wide awake at 6:45 a.m. I really need to become a morning person. Any good tips on doing so?

I’m so tired this morning, and my super sweet hubby brought us breakfast. He brought us donuts from our favorite donut shop. I love it when he brings breakfast, he is such a sweetie.

Here is my list today:

*Put away 4 loads of laundry
*Clean James office
*Wash and put away clean dishes
*Go to Walgreens, if the weather cooperates

The weather looks like it is going to be awful today. We are under a wind advisory this morning, and the rain is on its way. I just hope we don’t see a Kansas Tornado today.

Long night, early morning

Dylan and I went to the doctor yesterday, and all was well. Dylan is growing fast, and gaining plenty of weight, another 2 pounds to be exact. The only bad part was that Dylan had to get 4 shots. The poor little boy was up all night with very sore legs. Thade was up too with a very stuffy nose, the pollen count is so high here. The boys have one tired mommy today, I think I got about 3 hours of sleep.

It is raining like crazy here today, but I have to get out to the post office and Wal-Mart too. Maybe dad will watch the boys while I run errands.

Here is my list for today:

*Wash and put away dishes
*Go to the post office and check p.o. box
*Go to Wal-Mart, pick up meds
*Wash 3 loads of laundry

I think that is all I have the energy for today.
