Snacks for the Outing

I love to organize my Diaper Bag with Ziploc Bags. They are so handy, and if they get anything icky on them, or in them, you can toss them. Today we have a few errands to run, and we are going to be out or quite awhile. Today I’ve packed a few snacks for the boys to keep them happy.

I have one bag of treats for Thade, and another bag of treats for Dylan. I also place the Ziploc bags in my bag, so I can grab them with just one hand. I’m always carrying Dylan with the other hand. Now if I could just figure out a way to pack along a up of coffee for Mommy, I’d have enough energy to get all of the errands finished 😉

Not 1 But 5

The past few days and nights have been one sleepless Mommy taking care of one super-grumpy, no-sleeping, biting baby. Yesterday his little screams of just being grumpy turned into shrieks and screams of pain. I had assumed that it was teething, as he looks like he is cutting another tooth on the bottom. I found out it was more than just one, he is also cutting 4 top teeth, no wonder he isn’t feeling too great.

I’m rotating Baby Tylenol, Baby Ibuprofen, and Baby Ora-jel, along with every single cool teether that I can come up with. He is still not feeling too great today, and I’m already on diaper change #3 (stinky). I hope those teeth come in soon, so we can have our happy Dylan back, and just maybe a full night of sleep too 😉

The Dude with the Tude

Yesterday was just one of those days with my toddler, he was grumpy all day, and was in time-out a few times too. He even had to stay home from the store with Daddy, due to his bad attitude. I don’t know what has changed the usually happy-go-lucky kiddo into the Dude with the Bad Attitude.

It looks like today is going to be the same. He is moping around, and pouting, I hope that this is just a phase, and he’ll be back to cheerful soon 🙂

Sleep, How I Miss You

Well I think I have officially given up on every sleeping again. Last night was another long ans sleepless night with teething Dylan. Here is an account of last night’s teething troubles:

  • 8:00 p.m.-Bath-time for Dylan, and he didn’t take his little 15 minute nap afterward
  • 8:30 p.m.-Bath-time for Thade
  • 9:00 p.m.-Bed-time for Thade, but Dylan is screaming his little head off. This turns in to DVD time for Thade, and Mommy and Dylan make a trip downstairs for Rice Cereal and Baby Tylenol
  • 9:30 p.m.-Bed-time for Thade, and Mommy is getting pretty tired too
  • 9:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m.-Dylan is still up, and wow Mommy is getting so tired from the endless pacing, and walking around a very fussy baby
  • 11:00 p.m.-Dylan is up so maybe nursing him will help him to sleep
  • 11:30 p.m.-Dylan is still up, so we are off to the bathroom for some Baby Ora-jel and I hope that this will calm him down a bit
  • 12:00 a.m.-Finally Dylan is asleep, and I am too
  • 1:30 a.m.- Dylan is up and screaming at the top of his lungs, I try nursing him (not working), so it is another dose of Baby Tylenol, and he is back to sleep
  • 3:00 a.m.-Dylan is wide awake again, so again it is time to feed him
  • 5:30 a.m.-Dylan is wide awake and screaming, and Mommy is starting to lose her patience, he is acting hungry so one more time to nurse
  • 7:00 a.m.-Dylan is up, needs changed, is starving, and I’ve officially given up on ever sleeping again. I change the little guy, and we head downstairs for Rice Cereal and Coffee for me

James didn’t get much sleep either due to the grumpy little guy, so we are both wiped out today. Thade is still snoozing at the moment, lucky Thade 😉 I hope to find something that works for the teething woes, as Baby Tylenol, Baby Ibuprofen, and even Baby Ora-jel aren’t doing the job. I hope that he feels better soon, I know everybody in the house could use a long night’s rest.

The List Was Long

Today I really did not feel like going shopping for all of the Christmas necessities, but the weather is supposed to turn cold and yucky tomorrow, so today had to be the day. The boys and I made it to Walgreens and to Wal-Mart and enjoyed the 60 degree weather, while we could. I only forgot one thing at the store, Dylan’s Sweet Potato Puffs. I think my hubby is finishing up the Christmas shopping tomorrow, so I’ll have to have him pick those up. Dylan loves them, and he will be pretty grumpy if we run out of them.

I did get all of the supplies for Christmas Dinner, and 2 new Transition Sippy Cups for Dylan. He has been biting Mommy (ouch), so he may be ready to be weaned. Here is the problem: he isn’t too fond of a bottle, or even formula, so this is going to be tough.  He likes to play with his new cup, but he makes the yuckiest face if he takes a sip. What to do 😉
