Well we made it through the first drop off at day camp, and I had a hard time, but not Thade he did great. We were a little early, and Thade got checked in and his name tag on, and he made a buddy right away. He was coloring so I made my escape, but not without a hug… Thade was ready for me to go, and told me that he met this kid that liked Spider-man and it was o.k. for me to leave. Dylan and I walked back to the car, and it was so strange without Thade tagging along too.
I needed to run snacks to James at work, and I was glad to have the errand to run. I was a little sad, but I knew that Thade would have a blast at Day Camp. James thought I was a little silly, I was watching the clock like a hawk just waiting for the pick-up time. I decided to take Dylan to the grocery store, and I was thrilled when my phone rang reminding me to go and get Thade from Camp.
I was a little early (about 10 minutes) so I snapped a quick pic of the Day Camp Site. When Thade (finally) got out for the day, he was all smiles, and had an art project to show off too. He really loved Day Camp, and he can’t wait for Wednesday! I’m so happy that he had fun, and it looks like a great Summer program for him to be a part of 🙂
Aw, I’m so happy that Thade had a great time. Kylie would never let me leave her at playschool or anything like that…Jake couldn’t wait to get rid of me LOL. Do you have Thade signed up for a bunch of stuff over the summer?
Thanks Susan! Thade was really good about it, and all day he has been asking when Wednesday is so he can go back to Day Camp 🙂 This Summer he has 3 activities, and June is packed. Thade will be in T-Ball (with practices), Day Camp, and Craft Camp, lots of driving for Mommy 😉 What about your kiddos, are they in lots of Summer programs too?

Just one course of swimming lessons each, and Jake has a 2 week summer camp through a neighbourhood program. Jake could do stuff all summer long and Kylie wants to join the library reading program so she can read by herself all summer long. LOL, 2 completely different kids.
Sounds like Thade’s got a fun summer ahead!

I did a mommy and me swimming class with Jake at our local high school last summer. Thinking about doing it again with Jake and asking a church lady to watch the baby since it’s only a 45 min class. I think we would both benefit from having some time alone from the baby. Heather
Thanks Heather! That sounds like such a fun class, and I bet that Jake would have so much fun with just Mommy! Thade is loving day camp, and it gives me a little extra time to hang out with Dylan, which is pretty nice. Enjoy your swim class!
