On Sunday I’m moving the Mother’s Day Dinner to a Mother’s Day lunch, but I’m still featuring some family favorites. I’ll be making Fried Chicken Tenders ( a rarity for me I hate to fry chicken), Corn Salad, Pasta Salad, a veggie tray, and a Dutch Apple Pie too. I’ll be working on what I can the day before so I’ll have everything ready in time for Sunday.
I also thought that since Thade’s graduation is at 6:30 p.m. on Monday I had better feed everybody dinner. I’ve got a simple menu planned for the event too. I’ll be serving BBQ Beef Sandwiches, Chips & Dip, and Chocolate No Bake Cookies. Fast, simple, and tasty.
Time to get to the store and get all the ingredients for these upcoming dinners.
Oh my! It all sounds delicious. You are so awesome! Happy Early Mother’s Day! Blessings!!!
Congrats to Thade too!
Both meals sound tasty! I’m glad you are keeping it simple. Good luck with the chicken frying. I wasn’t able to cook meat my first semester. Happy Mother’s day!
Thanks Marva! I had no idea what to get the Grandma’s this year, so I figured that lunch would be pretty good. I hope I can get it all done though 😉 I hope that you have a wonderful Mother’s Day and a great weekend too!
Thanks Nana! I really appreciate everyone coming to visit 2 days in a row 🙂 I think it is going to be another busy weekend in the kitchen, but that sounds like a lot of fun to me 🙂
Thanks Heather! I am the same way, I can cook it o.k., but then I don’t want to eat any of it. I’m not a big fan of frying chicken at all, it is just too messy, but that is what James requested, so I hope he is happy 😉 I hope that you have a wonderful Mother’s Day a great weekend too!
