Paint or Paper

Well there is a lot of Spring decorating going on in our house along with the cleaning. Hubby brought me home super yummy breakfast today: Sausage Rolls, and Maple Long John’s, and Donut Holes for Thade they were all so tasty. I got out one of my favorite Wall Paper Books to go through, and get James opinion on a few options.

We need to paint just about every square inch of the house, and I’m finally able to help. When we started the painting project almost 2 years ago, I was preggers, and I couldn’t help at all. Now I’m finished nursing, and Dylan is taking better naps, so it is time to get these painting projects finished.

The kitchen might need to be first. Last Summer I was so sick of looking at the icky wall paper, that I started ripping it down, so we have some very interesting walls at the moment. James and I are both completely sick of the state of the kitchen, and I think we’ve found a paper that we both like. I wanted to do the kitchen in Baby Pink, Black, and White, and I even found graphic Wall paper to match it.  While we were flipping through the book, we found the same graphic pattern only in Retro Light Orange, Light Blue, and Light Green, we both love the colors and the pattern too. The kitchen is going to be a retro 50s throw back, which is perfect for me! I think we have a winner, now I just have to get hubby to place the order.

I can’t wait to get started!!! 🙂 Are you Spring painting too?

  1. Oh, I would love to be repainting my kitchen! Right now, we are at odds: I want to repaint, hubby wants to gut the whole thing. I’d like to know who he thinks is going to pay for it LOL.

  2. The paper sounds great!!!! Keep us posted and don’t forget the pics!!

    We are doing some wall paper border in the litchen and lots of caulking and touch up painting through. No big jobs! Praise the Lord for that! I just don’t think I could handle it witht the boys….thye are quite the handfull these days…….make that 2 handfulls! 😉

  3. Thanks Susan! I would love to gut our kitchen too, but I think I’m just going to Paper and Paint it, and hope that it works. It sounds like you have a big project ahead of you too 🙂
