Our Little Soccer Star

This evening was  pretty interesting. Thade had his first soccer practice, and it was freezing. Thade was crazy and all over the place, he ran up and down the field, and had a little bit of trouble waiting his turn. I think he might be a little better suited for Football, he likes to tackle and pick up the ball. He did have a lot of fun, and it looks like it is going to be a great season. I hope that next practice goes a little bit better, and that the weather is just a bit warmer too.

I’ve also signed up to bring drinks and snacks to a game, so I’ll have to come up with some tasty goodies to feed 11 kids.

  1. Yea! It sounds like Thade had lots of fun. Coming from a seasoned soccer momma, I hear you on the cold part!By the time the fall season is over in early Nov, I am more than ready for a nice warm gym to watch basketball 🙂 All I can say is make sure you bundle up good and warm….oh and make sure you have a big golf type umbrella for when it rains (it works great too when it’s hot out….it will shade you)….around here, we play in every kind of weather except lightening…..my girls have played in 100 degree weather and 35 degree weather too. Oh the things we do for our kids! Ellie

  2. So glad things went well and kn ow that nico the soccer mom will have no trouble coming up with something yummy for the kiddos!!!! Go Tigers!!!!! Blessings!!!!

  3. Thanks Ellie! I really appreciate all of the tips too. We are hoping that next week’s weather will be a bit warmer. At the first practice the field was a gigantic mud pit, so we need to invest in a pair of cleats soon. Today I’ll be cleaning muddy shoes, and Thade is still sleeping in, he is exhausted.

  4. Thanks Nana! I’ll call you in just a bit. I tried to get a few pictures to share too.

  5. Thanks Marva! Thade loved playing soccer, and his very favorite part was when you get in a circle and everybody puts their hands in and they all yell Tigers Roar! His little face just lit up, and he was so excited.
