December was a great month for shopping with coupons, but I also went a bit over on my grocery budget 🙁 Oh well, I’ll plan better for those last minute gifts, and giant food feasts next year, lesson learned. I did save a bunch with coupons for all of the Christmas goodies, and in December I saved a total of $70.48 🙂
That brings my Total 2007 Savings (Feb-Dec no record of Jan) up to $421.87 🙂 Not too bad. Last year was the first year that I really focused on shopping and saving with coupons, and this year I plan to save even more. I would like to turn those savings into a Holiday Account to use for next year’s Christmas presents or for those end of the year expenses. Here’s hoping to save more in 2008 🙂
Are you shopping and saving with coupons in the new year too? What are you planning to do with your savings?
Great job Nicole! Here’s to a great 2008! 🙂 Ellie
Thanks Ellie! I hope we all have a great 2008 🙂 Big hugs to you 🙂
That’s awesome! Great savings, $400 can go a long way towards other things. I like the idea of sticking it in savings for next year’s gifts.
For some reason, coupons don’t do any good around here. I tend to buy generic on almost everything, it’s way cheaper than using coupons. I don’t know why that is…maybe in other areas of Canada it’s different.
Yes! I definitely save big with coupons and rebates. I use the savings to help pay for my childrens’ tuition at private school. You know every penny counts! When you have kids, you never seem to have enough pennies.
Mimi
Thanks Susan! I hope to get more saved next year, there always seems to be something that comes up at the end of the year that requires $$$
That is a great way to save Mimi! I wish I had a few more pennies my way too 😉
Way to save Nioo! You should be so proud of yourself!
