As promised there are even more cookies coming out of the kitchen today. Tomorrow is our MOPS Christmas meeting. There is a big breakfast, present exchange, and a cookie exchange too. So I needed to make cookies for the cookie exchange, and a little something for breakfast. Everyone is bringing breakfast tomorrow, so I decided to make one more batch of peanut clusters.

At the MOPS meeting we are also putting together cookie trays for the nursery workers. They work so hard at every meeting to give us moms a much needed break.I know they will appreciate the sweet treats as much as we appreciate their help.

I made up a batch of Candy Bar Cookies for the exchange. These are my most requested cookie that I bake, and one of Dylan’s favorites too. I only needed two dozen, so there were plenty left over for my family.
Oh no! You have made me very hungry. I’m going to have to start baking cookies now!
Dear Lady with 3 Cute Babies who Still Finds Time to Bake Cookies:
I need a cookie recipe for our school bake sale, one that can be made with pantry (oops: typed ‘panty’ hee hee) staples. I have a little bit of cocoa, no chocolate chips, but I have flour, sugar, butter, spices…might have some molasses. Probably have some raisins.
Too cold to go shopping (-35C)…any ideas???
Yours truly;
Your freezing cold, frazzled Canadian friend.
Thanks Susan 🙂 If you’ve got some Oatmeal you can make some no bake cookies 🙂 Here’s my recipe for them…
3 cups Oats (any will work)
1/2 cup Milk
2 Cups Sugar
1/2 cup Cocoa
1 stick of Margarine
2 tsp vanilla (I never measure this one)
*1 adorable kitchen helper or two, they are in charge of stirring the oats in a separate bowl, and helping out with the cookies 😉
Boil Sugar, Cocoa, Margarine until the mixture coats a spoon. It will look like thinned yummy Hot Fudge Sauce. Add in the Oats and stir well. Let the mixture hang out for 7-10 minutes in the warm pan, and then spoon the cookie mixture onto waxed paper.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
If you have cinnamon you could make Snickerdoodles or Oatmeal Raisin cookies too. I hope that you are staying warm! Have fun at the bake sale, wish I was there to help! Sending hugs your way 🙂
Oh, Nicole, you rule!!! Thank you, that looks awesome and easy. Yum.
