For some reason Dylan decided to dump about 1/2 of the toy bins today, and why you ask, he was looking for one single toy. I decided that when he was taking a nap, it was time to reorganize the toy bins. To drive myself insane, I emptied all of the bins in the middle of the floor, and then sorted through the mess.
I came to a few cleaning conclusions… #1 my kiddos have WAY TOO MANY TOYS!!!!!! #2 I’m already dreading Christmas, because my kiddos have WAY TOO MANY TOYS!!!!!! #3 somehow I need to find room for all of the little girl/baby toys, and there is no room, because my kiddos have WAY TOO MANY TOYS!!!!! #4 if one more toy comes into the house, I’m gonna lose it!
So I cleaned and organized, and watched the food network as I cleaned and organized. I finally got the room put back together and vacuumed, and then Dylan promptly emptied his toy bins, because I finally found his trains. Looks like the cleaning madness continues for this weary gal.
Fun times!
I used to put some of the toy bins in the garage and bring out a new one every day and take the one from inside out to the garage. It helped a little.
Boy toys are the worst-they have so many parts!
Thanks Mimi! I totally agree with you on that one! Boy’s toys seem to come with a million pieces, and already I’ve got baby-proofing on my mind.
You are just too awesome Nicole! I want so bad to go through the mountain of toys before Christmas. We have so many toys and I think the kids are genetically disposed to my hoarding habits which doesn’t help! I hope your energy will rub off on me.
Thanks Stacey! The toy clutter is driving James and me crazy!!! I am seriously in fear of the holiday season this year 😛 My kiddos also love to fight over everything, it doesn’t matter which toy it is, or even if it is the same thing, it is a constant battle. I hope to get the clutter under control, and fast!
