Walgreens Opens!

I am a huge Walgreens fan, and today our local store finally opened! I couldn’t wait, the boys and I went shopping this morning. I went a little over budget 😉  I ran in to some great deals, I found toddler training toothpaste 2 for $3.99, and Milk was $1.00 cheaper than the local grocers. The toothpaste was a bargain I could not pass up. Thade also got a new toy, he has been helping with Dylan and doing extra chores around the house.

We took our time and walked the entire store. The store was very well stocked, and surprisingly not too busy. Everyone was nice and helpful, and encouraged the use of coupons 😉 The pharmacy looked great too, and no giant line to wait in. I’m switching over my prescriptions to Walgreens. I think I’m going to save a lot of time and money shopping my local Walgreens.

I’m also happy to see new business in our little town, and one more place to compete for my shopping dollar. Now if we can just get an Aldi and Arby’s we’ll be all set.

  1. Aw, man! I wish we had a Walgreen’s here, all we have is WalMart…although they are slowly starting to expand and carry groceries which they didn’t do before here. It’s nice to be able to pick up milk and shop the fabric section all in the same trip. Will I ever sew again???

  2. Thanks Susan! I really like Walgreens, and their sales are fantastic. That is great that your Wal-Mart is carrying more grocery items. I hope that you get to sew again soon 😉

I keep wishing for a Target and an Aldi, but I don’t think that we will ever get either one of those. Target usually has some pretty good deals on diapers.
