Late Night in Babyland

My poor little son Dylan is teething, and it is driving him batty. I took the boys out yesterday for groceries, our favorite greeter took one look at Dylan and said ” he looks like he’s chewing bubble gum”. Poor Dylan was grinding his little jaw back and forth to ease the pain. I quickly ran over to the pharmacy and picked up two bottles of Baby Tylenol. I thought I should have one on hand for upstairs and one for downstairs too.

It was a long night for Thade too. He was worried when it got dark, and Dad wasn’t home from the meeting. I got him settled down and in to bed at 8:30 p.m., and Dylan promptly woke up to eat again at 9:00 p.m. James made it in a little after 10:00 p.m., and I made one more trip downstairs to make a late night dinner for him. Dylan wasn’t ready to go to sleep just yet, and he was up nursing on the hour last night. I got up at 5:30 a.m., and then officially rolled out of bed at 6:30 a.m., Thade then woke up at 7:00 a.m. Dylan is still asleep for now, and I’m completely wiped out today.

I think today we are going to stay in, and get a few things done around the house. The bottom floor needs swept, and I have lots of dishes waiting to be cleaned. First things first I think I’m going to go and get a second cup of coffee and see if I can wake up a little more.

  1. Aw man, poor you and poor baby! I don’t know if it will help at all, but my kids did better with infant motrin or advil…just seemed to work better and longer than the tylenol.

Anyhow, hope you can squeeze a nap in today.

  2. Thanks Susan. I’m going to have to try the Advil or Motrin, the Baby Tylenol doesn’t seem to be easing his teething pain. Thanks again 😉
