Yesterday I took the kiddos upstairs early, and I dove into a cleaning/organizing project. I have 4 closets that need cleaned/switched/organized, so I asked Thade what was the easiest one to start on… He said his, of course. I ran back downstairs, and got a few boxes, and started the cleaning project of the boy’s room.
A few hours later, and 6 boxes of clothing cleaned out of there too, and the boy’s closet is looking pretty good. I still need to sort through and categorize the bins of clothing that I have left, and I found enough clothing for them for the Fall and Winter season. I have an extra 2 loads of laundry to wash, but I’m all set for the cooler weather. Getting a little more mileage out of last year’s wardrobe helps out a bit too.
Maybe today I’ll start on another closet upstairs…
Will you sell the clothes have worn out of? I keep holding onto mine until we have a third child. But boy I can not wait to have a mega yard sale when I am done having kids! Boxes of clothes take up alot of storage!
Baby was sleeping today, so Jake and I made a halloween collage. I cut the pics out of magazines and Jake glued them on to the orange paper. what a thrill to watch my little boy growing up and to be able to share my love of crafts with him.
Thanks Heather! What a fun craft for you and Jake! I’m so ready to decorate for Halloween too 🙂 I bet Jake had a fun time crafting with Mommy 🙂
We have a city wide yard sale next month, and a MOPS swap coming up soon too. I’ve pared down a lot of clothes out of the boy’s closet, some to keep, some to sell, and some for the swap. Whatever doesn’t sell, or get traded at the swap, I’ll take to the local thrift shops, and hope that someone can get good use out of them. The boy’s closet is looking pretty good though, and so much cleaner.
