Yesterday was one of those days where I woke up worried, and dreading kindergarten enrollment. Don’t let Thade know, but Mommy was a nervous wreck! I debated going grocery shopping while Thade was at VBS, or head over to enrollment, I decided to go to enrollment. My best friend Stacey had warned me that enrollment takes awhile, and Thade isn’t a fan of waiting. So while we had a few hours, just Dylan and me, I got the paper-work together, and off to enrollment we went.
There was a pretty good crowd already, and a big table full of items that needed filled out and signed. I ran into a few friends there, so that helped my mood, and any questions that I had too. Once the initial paperwork was finished, then Dylan and I made the rounds to the ten other stations to complete enrollment. It took a little over an hour, but I’ll know what to do next year.
I saw Thade’s school principal and met the school nurse again too, and I even met a new mommy that has just moved to town. Dylan loved enrollment, he got to meet a lot of new kids, and I think he really wished that he was going to Kindergarten too. I got a lot of information about the school, and I think Thade will have a fun school year.
We just have a few more items to get done before school starts, and the days are ticking away…
We went in the afternoon and there was not a bad line. I am so happy for Brendan to be heading back to school, but I have regret for this summer being rather blah. I guess I have 2 weeks to redeem myself! You will do just fine. We will just have to keep each other company without the wii masters!
I’ll bet Thade will absolutely love Kinder. My gosh, how time flies, hey?
Thanks Stacey! I really appreciate all of your info on the enrollment process. Thade is getting pretty excited about going to school, but I don’t think he’ll like the early mornings-have to get out of the house right away days though.
We’ll have to get a few Wii games going, or maybe some craft projects 😉
Thanks Susan! He is pretty excited, but I’m one wreck of a mommy. I’m so not ready for him to be in school, and kindergarten is in session all day here, when Thade was born it was still half-days. I hope to make it through the next month without too many worries…
