The Kid’s Choice Awards

When Saturday finally arrived, Thade had the whole day planned out. He was going to watch a Spongebob marathon, and then he would finally get to watch the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards. He couldn’t wait!!! He had voted online for his favorites, and he couldn’t wait to see the show. As the day went on, the bad weather moved in and we lost our satellite connection. Thade was devastated, me too, I really wanted to see the Jonas Brothers…

James found the interview cam online, so the kiddos could watch the Orange Carpet coverage. As it was drawing closer to the start of the show, James bundled up and headed out into the snow storm, and fixed the satellite. Thade was thrilled, and kept saying “my Dad is the man, he saved the day!”

Thanks to my hubby for making his kiddos day, and now I’ve totally got that Jonas Brothers song stuck in my head.

  1. Way to go James! Glad Thade got some of his day in. that reminds me that us adults get all bent out of shape when our plans don’t go our way as well.

  3. Thanks Marva! The kiddos were thrilled that Dad fixed the satellite, and Thade was so happy to get to see the Kid’s Choice Awards.

    The weather is finally warming, the snow is all gone, but we still have some really high winds. I think it is supposed to rain this week, I just hope that the snow stays far away.

  6. Wow, I’ll bet Thade was super happy to be able to watch his shows! We were watching the weather on CNN the other day, I hope your snow melts as fast as it appeared 🙁 .

    I just bought Kylie tickets for the Jonas Bros show here in July…stupid expensive, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing. They were on SNL this past weekend…I think they’re pretty cute, myself 😉 .

    The weather has improved here, but we’ve got high winds today, and it is probably going to storm tonight. It is definitely Springtime in KS, you never know just what the weather is going to do.
