Yay for Walgreens! This week they’ve got Potting Soil on sale for $.99 (with coupon), and Seeds 5/$1.00 (with coupon). I hope to go and shop this gardening sale today, and get those Bell Pepper plants started for my garden.

Have fun planting!
Thanks Mimi! I can’t wait to get out in the garden. I think I’ve still got another month or two before all the frost will be out of the forecast, but I don’t know if I can wait that long 😉
Sounds awesome. Just got the new seed catalog in mail two days ago. Still trying to figure out what to order. I’m getting into it this year, now that the boys are a little older. They can play around while I work on gardening. Big plans for flowers in front bed. We ripped out old bushes, now it is BARE! Any tips on filling in the empty space on small budget?
What all is going to be growing in your garden? There is a Master Gardener program tonight that I am thinking about attending. I hope to get some good ideas.
You have an award. Blessings!
Oh, I’m so jealous…we’re still under a foot of snow. I love just looking at the gardening stuff in the stores but it won’t be out for ages. Plus I have a black thumb anyway!
Thanks Maggie! Yay, it sounds like you and your kiddos are going to have a fun time gardening this year 🙂 I can’t wait to get started, I have a lot of work to get done in the backyard, I just need the weather to cooperate.
Hmmmm, I think I’ve got a few tips for you 🙂 Think out side of the box when planting flowers, have you thought of using vegetation as well? Strawberries look really cute nestled along with Tulips, and Zucchini and Squash make beautiful big green plants that last all Summer long. Also any plants that you can start from seed yourself is going to save a bundle. This year I stocked up on the Walgreens sale for veggies, and at Wal-Mart for flower seeds.
I wish you the very best of luck on your garden, and have a great time too 🙂
Thanks Stacey! That class sounds like a lot of fun. I’m so ready to start gardening, and I’ve got a lot of plans for this year’s garden too. I’m planting a lot of veggies, and adding in Strawberries too. I’m also counter-planting with flowers to attract good bugs that will eat the bad bugs.
We’ve just started Bell Peppers last weekend, and (so far) Thade is really into watching and waiting for the plants to grow.
Wishing you all the best on your garden 🙂
Thanks Marva! I’m so excited! I’m on my way to your blog to check it out 🙂 Thanks and big hugs too!
Thanks Susan! Oh no! I’m sorry that you still have snow. I can’t wait to get out in the yard and get to work. I hope that the garden does well this year, last year I didn’t see too many veggies, but it was a lot of fun 😉
