To help pass the time on this icy day, Thade is busy writing handmade Valentine’s for the Preschool Valentine’s party next month. I wonder if he will grow tired of writing Thade so many times…
For the Valentine’s I used scrap-booking paper, a cookie cutter, and decorative scissors. I picked out a cute Valentine’s themed rubber stamp and some heart stickers to complete the Valentines. It is a nice (and quiet) project for a cold and snowy day.

Sounds like fun! I love making Valentine’s. Jake doesn’t get it yet, but I think we’ll still make some. I want to deocrate the kitchen cabinets with cut out hearts. Maybe make one of those accordian cutouts. And drap it across as garland above the table. Good for you for finding a useful project for Thade- plus you’ll be ahead of the game for the party.
Thanks Nana! Thade has had fun writing all of the Valentine’s, I can’t believe that it is almost time for Valentine’s Day already! Hope you are having a great day, even though you are snowed in too. Sending big hugs your way!
Thanks Heather! Your Valentine’s Day decorations sound so cute! I’m thinking about decorating a little more this year too, hmmm I don’t know what I’ll do just yet though. This project kept Thade busy on this snowy day, I just hope that we can get out of the house tomorrow 😉
That looks like fun!
Way to go, Thade1
Thanks Mimi! Thade has enjoyed this fun project, and we are ready for the Valentine exchange next month 🙂
And frugal idea too! Great job Thade! Many blessings!
Thanks Marva! Good point 🙂 I used everything that I had on hand so there was nothing out of pocket 🙂 The project was a lot of fun too, and kept Thade busy during this snowy day.
Those valentines are a thousand times better than any store bought card…and a great printing exercise for a preschooler, too 🙂 .
Thanks Susan! I like the Valentine’s, but Thade is a little mad at me for making him write his name so many times 😉 He needed 22 for the class!
ugh- we got your snow today!! but at least I was expecting it! Jake and I made cookies this morning while baby napped. I need to focus on planning the baby’s 1st b-day party.
Thanks Heather! Wow, 1 year already… It sounds like you had a nice snow day, and I bet your cookies were yummy 🙂 Thade still has a few Valentine’s to sign, but we’ve got a good start on them.
