I stayed up late last night, pulling off the blue tape, and finished up the job this morning. I’m happy to say there isn’t a speck of blue tape left anywhere in the dining room today!
I’m so happy that we have this project finished, and James and I are already talking about what to paint next. We still have plenty of rooms that need it…
This is what the dining room looked like yesterday, beige paint, and plenty of blue tape everywhere.
Even Thade got involved in the painting. He got to paint a section of the wall, all by himself. He had so much fun, and even declared that he wanted to be a painter when he grows up.
I am absolutely thrilled with the dining room, and I think the colors look great. The green looks so pretty with the hardwood floors, but the soft purple is by far my favorite.
Today there is still a lot to be done, the house is one-big-huge mess, so I will probably be cleaning all day. There is a little touch up work to be done too, but I like those kind of jobs, and I can take care of that one while Dylan is napping. We’ll see what room we paint next!

AWESOME!!! Great job nico! I love it! Now, can you come help me? HEHE! You are so inspiring!
Blessings!!!1
Thanks Nana! Painting was so much fun, and I’m so pleased with the results. You don’t have to worry about making a commitment on your color… Paint is great, if you don’t like it, just paint over it 😉
Thade had a blast painting, and he wasn’t too messy either. He is really proud his wall in the dining room 🙂
Thanks Marva! It was a fun project, and I’m so proud of the dining room now. If only we lived closer together, I would gladly help you paint too. Big hugs 🙂
Nice job Nicole! Looks great 🙂 Can’t wait to see what other projects you have up your sleeve 🙂 Ellie
Oh, I love the colours together! And I really like the white trim with it. I’m so scared of colour, I’m sure my main floor will be eternally beige lol.
Thanks Ellie! It was so fun to paint, and we really knocked out the room quickly. I think it took us about 3 hours total in painting time.
We’ll see what room is next: James office needs work, our bedroom needs paint, the bathroom is in desperate need of a redo, and then there is my closet… There is a lot to do, but we’ll take it one room at a time.
Thanks Susan! You crack me up 🙂 I love to paint crazy colors, James often has to have me pick out colors several times before we can find something that we can both agree on. Color is fun though, and it really makes a big impact.
If you are thinking about color, and you aren’t too sure if you are going to like it, try painting an accent wall in the room that you were planning on painting, or paint a small table or chair the color that you were thinking about using. Then you can see if you really like the color, or not, and you didn’t have to commit to an entire room re-paint 🙂
