Just a Little Decorating… so far

You’ll find a few Halloween touches around our house, so far. I’ve painted our Front Porch chair a bright Autumn Orange, and I love displaying my favorite Black Cat Pot Holder in the kitchen.

There is a “scary” pumkin hanging in the Foyer window. Thade and Dylan picked out Super-cute Pumpkin Pie Pumpkins to display in the Dining Room. I have a feeling we won’t be carving these for Jack-O-Lanterns…

Thade loves the “scary” spider on the front door, I just hope it doesn’t scare Dylan too much… I hope to decorate the outdoors too. My Mom picked us up a Halloween Outdoor Display, and we still need to get two large pumpkins for the front porch. I am also leaning towards purchasing a few Fall Mums too, maybe.

Have you been decorating your home for Halloween?

  1. Nico- Where did you find the spiderweb?? Jake would love that! He is all into webs?? I am toying with making a cute penant to hang outside between the pillars of our front porch. Saw it in one of the fall mags. Little triangles/diff. materials. I’ll let you know if I get it done. Heather

  2. Thanks Heather! The Halloween Pennant sounds so cute, and I bet it is a fun craft to make too. I really want to decorate our porch, but I’m just stuck on what to do…

I picked up the Spiderweb at a $1.00 shop called Dollar Daze over a year ago. On the same shopping trip I found a felt Turkey for Thanksgiving too. I really like both of the decorations, and you couldn’t beat the great price 🙂

  3. Looks great, Nico, I especially love the chair! Now I wish I had a front porch.

I think we’re going to decorate this weekend…we have 4-50ft pine trees in our front yard so it is especially spooky looking in the evenings. Hmmm…I’ll have to send Scott into the attic tonight to bring down the decorations. Thanks for the reminder, I almost forgot it was October today!

  4. Thanks Susan! Your yard sounds amazing, I would love to have pretty tall trees. I bet they look super spooky too for Halloween. Have fun decorating 🙂

I hope to decorate a little bit more around the house. I am definitely going to get 2 pumpkins for the porch, but I don’t know about the Mums. The Mums are a little pricey this season…

  5. The chair looks really good in orange. That is a creepy spider web, too!
We bought a lot of scary witches and ghosts at the dollar store to hang from the trees in our yard, and we’ll put big pumpkins with stencilled and painted designs by the front entry. We have a skeleton that is triggered by movement and starts to rattle and talk to you when you pass, I got it at Big Lots. It really is scary!
The kids are so excited about Halloween. It’s such a fun time!

  6. Hi nico! I just tagged you. We are all about fall and harvest for decorating. I have just gotten started.

    Great job!

    Bledssings!!!!!

  7. Thanks Mimi! Wow, your decorations for Halloween sound amazing, and super spooky too. I would love to decorate a little scarier, but Thade isn’t a big fan of spooky decorations… He won’t even venture down the Halloween aisle at Walgreens, if he only knew that aisle was filled with candy 😉 I hope that you and your kiddos have a very Happy Halloween!

  8. Thanks Marva! I hope that your harvest is going well 🙂 I bet it is a very busy time of the year for you. By any chance do you grow pumpkins? I’m thinking of adding them to our garden next year 🙂 Sending big hugs your way!

Thanks for the tag, Mimi tagged me too 🙂
