Today is Thade’s final day at VBS, and he is a little sad that his fun week at VBS is already over. He has been asking what are we going to be doing next week. I have him signed up for another VBS, and I’ll be volunteering in either the Toddler Crafts or the Nursery, and bringing cookies too. I’m bringing Dylan along too. I think it is going to be a lot of fun for all of us, and I know that Thade is already looking forward to the next VBS.
Since I only have one kiddo to chase after this morning, I’m going to run over the the Car Wash and detail my hubby’s car. It really needs to be done, and I thought it would be a nice surprise for him. It is still cool in the morning, so I think I can get the task accomplished. I just hope Dylan doesn’t mind the sound of the vacuum…
Yesterday we were planning on going to lunch, but we decided to head home and I made super tasty quesadillas. We might go out for lunch today, it would be nice, and I won’t have to heat up the kitchen. I’ll probably swing by McDonald’s and grab a Happy Meal for Thade, he has done a great job at VBS this week!
It is also county fair time this weekend, and we might go and check out the rides. It is so hot by midday, and the boy’s have switched to an 8:00 p.m. bedtime, so that doesn’t leave too much time in the evening to get out and ride the rides. We’ll see if we make it, it is just too hot for Dylan.

Hi Nicole! Sounds like Thade had a great week! That’s so great he is able to get out and have some fun 🙂 Our weekend is consisting of another soccer tournament(4 games) but thank goodness it is on OUR side of town for once…..very close…..we also have a family birthday party for our nephew to attend. Thade has been so busy! This weekend we are going to participate in a fishing tournament at our local park. The city has it stocked with trout and it should be fun for the kids. I hope you guys have fun this weekend!

Thade loved VBS, and we are attending the program this evening. He had so much fun, and made a few friends too.

Thanks Mimi! The fishing tournament sounds like so much fun, I hope that your kiddos catch lots of fish! Thade has quite the social calendar, and he is having a great time this Summer.
