Who’s That in the Garden

The plants are very happy about all of the rainy weather that we’ve had. I haven’t seen a bloom yet, but the garden is looking green and lush.

Today we had a visitor in the Hosta garden. I spotted an adorable little Toad that was keeping cool under the leaves.

I ran inside to get Thade so he could see “our visitor”. Thade thought he was so cute. I hope that our little toad sticks around and helps out with the pest control! The mosquitoes are eating us alive when we venture outdoors.

  1. We don’t have any toads here, too dry. He’s a cutie. Next time you go outside, try rubbing some vanilla on your arms and legs to repel those mosquitoes. PLUS- You’ll be the best smelling family on the block!

  2. Thanks Mimi! Great tip! I love the way vanilla smells 🙂 We have so much trouble with mosquitoes in the Summer, and this year we have had extra rain, so there are tons of them. I was surprised to see the little toad, and I hope that he sticks around and helps out with the bugs 😉 Have a great weekend and a safe and Happy Fourth of July!
