How I wish these were from my garden ; ) My Mom visited us on Wednesday, and brought us some delicious veggies from her favorite Farmer’s Market. One Yellow Squash didn’t make it in to the picture, I made tasty Squash Couscous for lunch.
Thade had such a fun time at our local Farmer’s Market last weekend. He made a request for us to walk down there tomorrow morning. I hope to get there a little early, and maybe find some Strawberries, and of course those delicious Cinnamon Rolls.
I finally got my garden planted this week, so I hope to have some tasty veggies soon. Thade can’t wait to help out in the garden, and he even said he would try a veggie or two.

Thanks Nana! I really appreciate all of the veggies, and I might even attempt to make Zucchini Bread this weekend. The boys and I are walking to the Farmer’s Market this morning, so I hope to find those strawberries.
Nicole- I love zucchini bread! Thanks for reminding me of it! I did get some yummy strawberries today at Aldi’s. I hated buying them imported, we have tons in PA but prices are so high this year. What’s a frugal mom to do??? What did you plant in your garden?- Heather
Thanks Heather! I love zucchini bread, it is the best. I’ve heard of zucchini muffins too, but I’ve never made them… Great find on the Strawberries, I love Aldi’s Produce! They always have the best buy on Lemons too.
I have an itty bitty garden, and I hope I can talk my hubby into a bigger garden next year. This year I’ve planted Yellow Squash, Bell Peppers, Zucchini, Cucumbers, Watermelon, Cantalope, and Green Beans.
Next year I hope to plant Okra, Corn, and Strawberries too. Thade has requested a Apple Tree, and Bananas, but I don’t think we can grow Bananas in the Midwest, just yet 😉
