I have to go grocery shopping today, and I’m just not in the mood to go. I dread going and seeing another price hike, anybody else feel like this? We are also under a freeze warning, and it might snow today too, so the dreary weather is adding to my blah mood. I hope Spring gets here in a hurry!
On a happier note…I’ve been rediscovering one of my favorite hobbies, and I’m taking a little bit of time daily to Cross-Stitch. I love to Cross-Stitch. My Mother and my Grandmother taught me how to Stitch when I was a little girl, and it is one hobby that has stuck with me through the years. After I had Thade, it was hard to find the time to get back into sewing. Now I sneak in 15-20 minutes when Dylan is taking a nap, and Thade is happily playing. It seems to cheer me up, and it is fun to stitch those little projects. Yesterday I finished a Feng Shui piece for my Mom, it was a lot of fun to stitch. It took me a little over a week to get it finally finished.
Locally we have a food drive today, and Thade helped out finding some Food items to donate. I hope that the weather improves for everybody that will be out helping out with the Food Drive today, it is bitterly cold at the moment.
Great job with the food drive! Hoping for warmer weather all the way around. Here too!
I would learn to cross stitch. that sounds so great! I have always whated to learn how!
Happy shopping!!!!
I actually don’t mind grocery shopping…..I love the challenge of finding deals and using coupons and sales, but higher prices do have me bummed out. It seems everything has gone up! Your cross stiching sounds like a lot of fun. I am glad you are able to find some time each day to work on it. Enjoy! Ellie
I had DH pick up some produce at ALDI on his way home. Both the baby and I are sick today and I think I will be spending the day in bed 🙁
Thanks Marva! I thought that it was important to get Thade involved in the food drive, and he was really proud placing our items out on the steps for pick up today. He kept waiting by the front door and watching for the kids 🙂
I love to Cross Stitch, I think I was about 9 or 10 when I started, and it is a lot of fun.
Thanks Ellie! That is cool that you like to grocery shop, the prices have been on the rise here too! I wish that I had a little bit more time to get in some crafting. I love to sew, I haven’t had my sewing machine out in months.
Thanks Maggie! I’m so sorry to hear that you and your little one are feeling sick. I hope that you both get well soon! I hope that you get in a nice long nap too 😉
