Cheating On My Veggies

I have a confession to make, on my birthday I decided to end my vegetarian ways. My hubby and kids were pretty happy about my decision.  I was really pleased that I made my goal of going vegetarian for a solid year. In fact I made it a little over thirteen months.

At first I was pretty happy to be back eating a few carnivore meals here and there. Pretty soon though, my old friends heartburn and migraines started sneaking back into my life.

Today I’m on day three of a pretty mean cluster headache, and I’ve decided that it just isn’t worth it.

I’m going back to being a vegetarian, and maybe doing some research on pescatarianism.

March: Knitting and Crochet Review

I am behind on so many posts right now. I’m also behind on laundry, gardening, housework in general, and probably more things that I have forgotten about. Oh well, I’ll get to them eventually.

March was a crazy month, the weather was wonky, and we were pretty much sick for the entire month. I spent lots of time on the couch, and when my head was clear, I had a crochet project in my hand.

So I’m still learning how to knit… I STILL can’t purl.

My mom got me some fun, super chunky, bubblegum pink yarn for me for my birthday. I thought it would make a perfect pillow for Agnes.

I was making some pretty good progress, then I dropped a stitch and the whole thing came apart. I think I’ll revisit this project again. I still think the yarn would make an awfully cute pillow.

Thade put in a request for another blanket. He just said stripes, and some of the colors of his youtube channel.

This cozy blanket came together quickly. I love crocheting with bright colors.

Thade liked the new blanket too.

I spend a ton of time in the car… So I always try to have a bag of little projects with me.

I am making a bunch of scarves in various colors. I’ll have them on hand for quick gifts, or teachers gifts for next school year.

I also started another “scrappy blanket” with all of the leftover yarn that I have on hand. I love making this blanket, but it takes a little time to collect all of the yarn. I use a tiny H hook, so it is extra warm.

I love crocheting in the car on rainy days.
