How I love the bright oranges, sunny yellows, and vibrant reds on the Autumn leaves…

How I wish these pretty colors could stick around all year long.

Not Just A… Dish Drying Rack

I haven’t done one of these posts in quite a while, so I thought I would bring it back.

This week I bring you not just a dish drying rack.

022

Whenever I pick up produce at the store, I wash it as I’m putting away the groceries. I run a sink full of water so the fruits and veggies can soak a bit while everything else is getting organized. Once they are nice and clean, I let them dry on the Bamboo dish drying rack that is always on my counter-top. The fruits and veggies dry super fast, and look pretty cute while they are waiting.

October’s Tasty Treats

Usually it is only desserts that you will see on this post, but this time around I thought I would share a few more homemade dishes from the kitchen with you.

0082

I had heavy whipping cream on hand in the fridge, so I thought about whipping it up. I made a Homemade Coconut Cream Pie to go along with it. It was amazingly good.

I made Agnes some completely from scratch vanilla buttercream cupcakes for her birthday, and she wasn’t too enthused about them.

132

She ended up chucking her cupcake on the floor. I thought they were pretty good though.

When it was James birthday, I had a recipe for thin crust pizza that I couldn’t wait to try out. So I asked the kiddos to help with the menu, and I made a big pizza buffet.

010

There was Thade’s favorite Pepperoni.

011

James new favorite Ground Beef, Pepperoni, and Bacon ( this one ended up being my favorite too).

0124

Cheese Pizza was Dylan’s favorite.

0131

The BBQ Chicken with Bacon was so good. There was cake too, a Chocolate Bundt Cake, but sadly there are no pictures, my family tore into the cake at record speed.

This month it is all about holiday baking, and Thanksgiving dishes. I’m so ready to start baking some Pumpkin Pies too!
