K.C. Daycation part 1

I’ll often ask the kiddos, “if you could go anywhere, where would you want to go?” Almost always the answer is Wonderscope. We live a bit away from Wonderscope, but luckily my brother Rob doesn’t live to far away from Wonderscope, and the kiddos were able to talk him into tagging along for the day.

Wonderscope is an interactive Children’s museum, and it is amazingly fun.

There are many different rooms to play in, and activities to explore.

Agnes was happy chilling out and watching the boys run around.

Even Uncle Rob had a good time at Wonderscope.

Nana and Agnes had fun playing too.

The kiddos favorite room was the Lego room.

It is full of great displays and plenty of Lego’s to play with too.

The boy’s are already asking when we can go back to K.C. and visit again.

I promise, this should be the last of the Hawaii posts…
I thought I would share a few of my random favorites from the Island…

Sushi and Soba Noodles from the ABC Store.

The view of the skyscrapers from the balcony.

One of the many quaint shops, the light was so pretty this day.

Early morning clouds rolling over the mountains.

A pretty view of Waikiki Beach.

Amazing detailed rooftops.

I loved the angle of this one…

Succulent plants and blossoms on a rooftop.

Happy Palm Trees, and an art deco hotel.

A beautiful chapel.

Oh my goodness! Hawaii, how I miss you so…

Tropical Trees and Flowers

How I wish I could grow tropical flowers in the Midwest…

And Palm Trees too.

A sandy beach view from my backyard would be really nice.

I snapped this one in the middle of the day, there was plenty of shade under this big tree.

The Palms are just too beautiful.

There were also tropical blooms in so many gorgeous colors.

Bright red.

And Sunny Yellow.

These trees lined our favorite park…

These beautiful blooms lined a rooftop.

The park was amazing, full of palm trees and succulents too.

Large blossoms…

And teeny-tiny ones.

Exotic succulents.

And a beautiful waterfall view…
If only this could be my garden.

I can’t leave the Island behind just yet…

I was looking back through the photos, and thought I would share some pictures of the lucky animals that call Waikiki Beach home.

I loved the tropical fish that we saw on the submarine.

This bird was attempting to “catch” a koi fish.

The Koi were beautiful.

The penguins were funny in their Hotel habitat.

There was even a lucky little turtle living among the penguins.

Another Koi “hunting” bird.

Pink Flamingos that were not quite awake.

Really, really, really lucky (and cute) penguins.

A little bird and tiny lizard hanging out at the Tropics.

This little bird at the Tropics was snacking on someone else’s breakfast.

One of my favorite animal pics, this little bird looks so serene.

There were loud macaws.

And cute little ducks.

They spent their time splashing in the Koi ponds.

Yep, those are some lucky little animals…
