One Last Girl’s Night Out
Summertime has quickly come to an end, and that means no more late nights thanks to early school mornings.

We had to celebrate one more girl’s night out though.

So my awesome Mom treated Stacey-cakes and me to dinner and an awesome show.

Oh yeah! We went to see Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert one more time!

The show was amazing!!!!!

I’m pretty sure we could watch Adam Lambert at least 15 more times(or maybe more).

It was a super-fun night out with my girls too.

What a way to end a fantastic Summer.

Daycation: George Washington Carver National Monument

This was a little adventure that we took earlier in the month.

The kiddos and I really needed a day out of the house, so we took Nana to lunch, and then we decided to head over to Diamond, MO and visit the George Washington Carver Museum. I hadn’t been there since I was a teenager, and I knew that the boy’s would love it.

The Museum is free to the public, and has a beautiful walking trail to take too.

I would like to visit again in the Fall.

There were lots of bridges to see.

The boy’s loved the lake.

It was a warm Summer day, and a thunderstorm was on its way.

There were lots of Bullfrogs and so many dragon-flies too.

We crossed one more bridge, to find the home that George Washington Carver grew up in.

It was a beautiful home.

The view was amazing too.

The day at the Museum was wonderful, and after all of that walking the boys crashed out for a bit too.

Bring on the Fall weather, so we can visit again.

Daycation: Kiddieland
We are still working on our 25 Things to do this Summer activity list, and one of the activities that made the list was Kiddieland. It was 4th of July weekend and we met up with Grandma and Aunt Jill for a day at the park.

Kiddieland is full of great rides for kids. This time around Dylan was big enough to ride many of the rides. There is a Roller-coaster, a Ferris Wheel, a Train that tours the park, and many other rides too. The kiddos got to have Cotton Candy and Sno-cones too, they were super happy about that one.

There are boats to ride.

Dylan found a car to ride too.

Both of the boys loved the airplanes.

Thade got really brave this year. He rode a few small rides, and then opted to ride the Roller-coaster, once with Dad, and then a few times by himself.

The kiddos had a great time, and we just might have to visit Kiddieland another time or two this Summer.

After our fun at Wonderscope, my brother asked if we wanted to head to downtown Kansas City and grab lunch at Crayola Cafe. How could I say no, downtown Kansas City has to be one of my very favorite places.

We visited Union Station.

I grabbed a few pics from the skywalk.

Dylan loves trains, and he really enjoyed Union Station.

I love it all, my camera was way happy that day.

Crown Center was a blast too. It was a little busy, but the boys loved it.

Crayola Cafe was a blast too. They served great food, and everyone there was really nice too.

We visited the waterfall at Crown Center.

Before we knew it, it was time to head back home. The day was amazing, and we seriously can’t wait to go back again.
