She’s Mobile

poof.. she is moblie.
Agnes is officially crawling, and also tearing into the house at record speed. Somehow baby-proofing the house with 3 kids is a little more tough this time around. I’ve been working on the living room for the last two days, and it still just isn’t quite right. I cleaned out one more contractor bag of clutter, so I am keeping up with that part of organizing the house at least. On a happier note, Agnes is way more cheerful now that she is mobile, and being destructive.

10 Bags

Whew, just look at those giant bags!
We have been really busy over here for the last week-and-a-half. My hubby had some vacation time, and I was feeling pretty overwhelmed by the state of our house. Every single spot that you looked was clutter. Finally we said enough, and we went and grabbed the 55 gallon contractor bags, and got to work.
We cleaned the Utility Room, the Dining Room, the Kitchen, the Office, and we barely started on the upstairs closets, and we came up with 10 bags filled with clutter. We also came up with a ton of goodies for a garage sale too.
Today the last of the bags were hauled off, and the house is looking great. We still have a long way to go. We have the entire upstairs to de-clutter, and then there is the living room, it is the main source of messiness in this house, but we are getting there.
I’ve also noticed that I’m not as stressed out as I was. I was feeling really down about the house, but I didn’t have enough energy to tackle the big mess on my own. Having my hubby to help out really was great, and I’m a much happier camper now. We even have some plans to get back to painting the house, now that the mess is all gone.
I am so happy to see those 10 bags out of here!

After changing the sheets and the bedding in the boys room, I gathered up the third load of laundry for the day, and I made my way downstairs. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I said to my hubby, “I’ve had it with this clutter!” So we decided right then and there to take a few hours and clean the mess.
We grabbed the 55 gallon Contractor bags, and tore into the downstairs. We went through the office, the dining room, a bit in the kitchen, and a deep clean in the utility room, and we came up with 5 full bags of clutter, over 6 boxes of garage sale items, and a pretty decent pile of cardboard too. I was kinda shocked, we haven’t even touched the living room or the upstairs.
I followed up the clutter removal with a deep clean of the floors, and a vacuuming of the carpet in the living room. My hubby and I decided to get take out for lunch, and drinks from Sonic too, we really deserved it after all that cleaning. Here’s the cool part though, it felt awesome to see the crazy clutter gone.
We still have a long way to go, but we are taking some big steps to getting our house back in order.

For some reason Dylan decided to dump about 1/2 of the toy bins today, and why you ask, he was looking for one single toy. I decided that when he was taking a nap, it was time to reorganize the toy bins. To drive myself insane, I emptied all of the bins in the middle of the floor, and then sorted through the mess.
I came to a few cleaning conclusions… #1 my kiddos have WAY TOO MANY TOYS!!!!!! #2 I’m already dreading Christmas, because my kiddos have WAY TOO MANY TOYS!!!!!! #3 somehow I need to find room for all of the little girl/baby toys, and there is no room, because my kiddos have WAY TOO MANY TOYS!!!!! #4 if one more toy comes into the house, I’m gonna lose it!
So I cleaned and organized, and watched the food network as I cleaned and organized. I finally got the room put back together and vacuumed, and then Dylan promptly emptiedĀ his toy bins, because I finally found his trains. Looks like the cleaning madness continues for this weary gal.
