Giving Up and Giving In

September 19th, 2009

I’m putting in a request for an early Christmas/birthday/Valentine’s/any other holiday for a year or so present… a dishwasher. I’m hitting new levels of lazy, and cooking more than ever, and my hubby has wanted me to get one for quite awhile, so I think I’m giving in. I’m looking for some suggestions of brands that work well, but also don’t cost an arm and a leg. Time to do some comparison shopping, and rip out a cabinet too.

I have a Whirlpool, it has a hi-temp sanitizing rinse that I like.

Kenmore is my favourite, definitely. And if you put it on your Sears card, you get Sears points which you can put towards Sears bucks to buy the kids a winter coat or some baby gear for the new little one. Oh, I dunno…maybe you don’t have that program in the States.

We have a portable…some day I’ll get the built in kind. And it was a lifesaver after Sam and Jake were born…who wants to do dishes when you’ve got a newborn ;) !

Thanks Mimi! The sanitizing rinse sounds great, and would come in really handy with the kiddos sippy cups. I hope that I can get one installed soon, it would really save me some time in the kitchen.

Thanks Susan! Nice find :) I like anything that can earn clothes for the kiddos. I’m really hoping that we can find a dishwasher before the little one gets here.

My kenmore is just a portable which makes it handy cause you can tuck it where you want it to load and pull it out to hook up! You can also use the top of it for storage or decorations…I do storage lol!
It also has a hi-temp sanitize rinse and a lock mode which is WONDERFUL with little ones pushing buttons!!!!

Thanks Shaunna! Portability is definitely cook, I just need a tiny bit more room in my kitchen ;) I’ve been looking online, and comparing prices, I hope to find something soon. I know it will be a major time-saver for me. I wonder if I can convince Thade that it is fun to load the dishwasher ;)
