Gardening in August

The Okra blossoms are my very favorite part of vegetable gardening.

They are just too pretty.

This season we have been lucky enough to pick okra a time or two. I had only 5 plants that made it, and next year I’m dedicating an larger portion of the garden to okra. Fried Okra is a family favorite of ours, even Dylan loves it.

The corn is doing well too, but it isn’t ready to be picked just yet.

Beautiful pictures! Great job! Enjoy your produce! Love you, Nana
I love the pictures! You should enlarge and frame some of them. Now I’m craving okra and tomatoes. I think I’ll make some for lunch.
Thanks Nana! I wish that the garden had done a little bit better this Summer, but maybe I’ll have more okra next year.
Thanks Mimi! You just made my day
I’m glad to know that there is another okra fan out there too
We love it here, well almost all of us, Thade isn’t a fan…
