One of the Reasons Why My Hubby is Awesome
Last night I wasn’t feeling too good at dinner-time, so I made a quick meal for my family, and I attempted to eat some Ramen. Usually Ramen and I are best friends, but last night we were brutal enemies. As the evening went on, and it was nearing the kid’s bedtime, I was finally starving. I ran downstairs and James was working on the computer, but he looked up and asked me what I needed…
Nico: Wendy’s? I’m sooooo hungry.
James: You know I can’t say no to a pregnancy craving… Number 5 plain?
Nico: Yep, you are the best.
James grabbed his keys, and headed out the door. I got Thade ready for bed, and just in time. James came home with a delicious dinner for me, and I really appreciated it. He is such a sweetie, and will always go out of his way to keep his wifey happy. I should probably make him an awesome dinner tonight to say thanks.

Friday afternoon we finally saw a break in the weather, and we had a warm sunny afternoon. I decided to take the kiddos outdoors and plant some seeds for a future flower garden. We got one fence row planted with Morning Glory and Sweet Pea. The kids had a blast watering all of the newly planted seeds with their watering cans.
Dylan still wanted to water some more, so I planted a few Dahlia seeds in the hanging baskets too. I don’t know if they will grow well, but Dylan was happy to water.
I’ve still got a lot of veggie beds to clean, and lots more seeds to plant. The weather looks like it is going to be great this week, and maybe I”ll finally get this garden going.

My Mom was visiting yesterday, and we were going to get out and check out the city wide yard sales. We took the kiddos to a few, but we didn’t seem to find anything that we needed. We decided to stop off at Sonic and take a treat to James at work, and that is when we ran into my Brother Rob. He was in town for just a bit, and we were all so happy to see him.
Just in case I haven’t told you before, I have the best Brother ever. Rob is not only a super-cool Brother, and an amazing Uncle, he can also bake…

He made this awesome Cherry Pie, and picked up some of our favorite milk too.

Shatto Milk will turn you into a milk drinker, it is amazing! We don’t have it here locally, but Rob can find it in K.C., and every once in awhile he’ll bring us some. Yeah, Rob totally rocks!

Staying In
Last night was STOMP, and James asked what I had planned for the evening. I said, “I’ll pick up take-out for you, make Ramen for me, and we’ll stay in and watch Quantum of Solace”. He looked up and said “wife of the year, that sounds perfect to me!” I think a night in can be even more fun than a night out.
So we loaded up the kiddos and took them to STOMP, and then we stopped by our favorite restaurant, El Charro to pick up some tasty dinner. We then headed home, and decided to have dinner on the living room floor, while we watched James Bond. We actually finished a meal without any interruptions, or a phone call, or a dirty diaper. We also watched an entire movie without a single question, or a little kid fight to break up, and it was wonderful!
8:00 p.m. arrived all too soon, and we headed back out to pick up the kids. They were both ready to get home, but Thade said that STOMP was a lot of fun. The weather was amazing, so we drove around town for a bit. Staying in made for the perfect date night, and we can’t wait for the next STOMP night… I wonder what we will watch next?
