Here Comes The Snow

March 28th, 2009

The snow has arrived… So far it has been snowing for about an hour, and there is a lot more in the forecast. I hope that everyone is staying nice and toasty today. Be careful out there.

Sad To See Them Go

March 28th, 2009

So far the Spring weather hasn’t been to kind to our Springtime plants and flowers. We had a few nice days, and our tree finally started to bud, and then we heard the impending weather forecast. Steady rain, with falling temps, turning to snow and ice with accumulations of 4-8 inches. They are even calling for Thunder snow today, which I kinda think is really cool (I’m a bit of a weather nerd), but the plants just aren’t going to make it this time.

I only had about five tulips that were getting ready to bloom, so I decided to clip them and bring them inside. If we couldn’t enjoy them outside, at least we could enjoy them for a little while indoors.

The Tulips do look a little happier indoors though…

To The Doctor

March 27th, 2009

Today Thade woke up early, ready to go to school, and then he said “I remember what today is”. Today Thade and Dylan both have check-ups, and Thade has to get his kindergarten shots. He has to get 4-5 of them, but let me tell you this kiddo is a trooper and has the best attitude about his upcoming appointment. I’m a little panicked about him getting that many shots, but I know it is necessary for him to go to school.

Thade also told me that he can’t wait to give his Doctor a big hug, and he is really excited about his shots. I just love this little guy.

I’ve packed along an ouchie kit for each of the boys. My kit has a little note saying just how proud of them I am, and a little favorite snack for the car ride home too. I’ve already promised Thade an ice cream cone at home if the appointment goes well.

Dylan doesn’t have to get any shots, but he will probably act like he does… Wish me luck, this is going to be a really long day.

Happy Birthday Dylan!

Happy 2nd Birthday Dylan!

It is hard to believe that our little Dylan is officially a toddler. Just where did my little baby go?!? Dylan is our introspective child that is sometimes a bit on the quiet side, but he is also our fighter. He often gets into a little trouble for picking on his big brother. Dylan is pretty sure that he is already 3 and can keep up with his big brother, no matter what. Dylan loves to go on any adventure, and he runs everywhere. He always has a sweet smile and a big hug to give too. We love you Dylan!!! Happy Birthday!
