You are just too good at watching ads! I wish there was Aldi here so it would be easier to save. I should start keeping track of savings at different stores and see how good I do.

Thanks Susan! We just recently got out Wal-Mart Supercenter that has the full grocery section (about 2 years ago). It makes for easy one stop shopping, but it is tempting to venture down every aisle.

There are a few stores that I wish we had locally. I really wish that we had an Aldi, and a Dollar Tree too. A Target would be nice too

Love your blog! Great ideas. I, too, look for ways to save. I buy all my dairy products at Braums. It’s on my way home after work, just walk in, get what I need and get out(in less than 5 minutes). They do have fresh fruits, vegetables, bakery items, fresh meat and frozen entrees. Oh, and every kind of ice cream you can dream of. Also, they do 50 cent and $1.00 mark down on vegetables and meat (nearing the “best to purchase by” date). Especially love their milk, it is r-BGH free. Thanks for the great tips. Keep saving!

Excellent Post Nico! We’ve been buying the Dollar General brand for most of our snacks and crackers. I hardly ever go to Walmart anymore. We mostly shop the ads at the grocery stores. My number one saver lately has been to stock up on meat in bulk. Then we seperate it into pound bags for the freezer.
