Dreaming of Crafting Spaces

August 5th, 2008

My sewing machine is living on the kitchen table, my rubber stamps are residing in the utility room, and my Nicostuff jewelry supplies are hanging out in the buffet in the dining room. I am longing for a crafting room.

I would love to have a nice quiet room where I could paint the walls petal-pink and leave all of my projects out without little boys getting into them. I could set up my computer on a small desk, and in the evenings when the boys are asleep I could sew, make bracelets, and possibly learn to knit. Maybe one day…

Do you have an ideal room for your projects, or are you day-dreaming of that perfect space like me?

My sewing room is a corner in our bedroom (luckily we have a big enough room where I can have a desk for each of my sewing machine and serger). I used to have a sewing room in the basement, but then hubby needed it for his office…

Someday I’ll have a real sewing room with a fold-out table, cabinets to hold all of my patterns and fabrics, and all that jazz. I have big dreams LOL!

Thanks Susan! It sounds like you have a nice space to sew in, and I hope that one day you get your fancy sewing room :)

I was thinking about moving my sewing machine up to our bedroom, but I didn’t know if it would wake up the kiddos. I’m hoping for a big sewing room one day, and I’m totally going to paint it girly colors ;)
