The Oatmeal Drum
I made a double batch of No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies yesterday, and I had an empty container for Thade. He quickly turned the Oatmeal Container into a drum, and played lovely songs all afternoon.
At breakfast this morning Thade and I made up a song about everything that we had to do today so we could have fun out of town tomorrow. Thade also made up a song about Dylan liking bagels.
I don’t think Dylan was the biggest fan of our singing, but Thade had a great time with his new “drum”

Isn’t it amazing how kids love the boxes and containers better than the “expensive” toys?!
I bet your duo sounded great! Wern’t you in a band once with James?
I love Dylan’s bib!;)
Thanks Marva! It cracks me up when the boy’s play in cardboard boxes when they have an entire room filled with toys
Thade has had so much fun with the drum, and Dylan is finally getting a turn too. He likes to roll the Oatmeal container around and around.
Yep, James and I were in a band together many years ago, my voice must have been a little rusty
Thade had fun singing along too
