Hair-Cut Day

November 28th, 2007

Today is a day that Thade has not been too excited about, it is time to give him a hair-cut. He is definitely due for one, and he had pictures on Friday, so I want him to look his best. After his first hair-cut at an actual salon went not so well, I went out and invested in an at home hair-cutting system. The clippers have paid off ten fold, and Thade isn’t quite as scared, so it makes for a much quieter hair-cut too.

I hope it goes well, and I hope the little guy isn’t too grumpy with me ;)

Off to the Parade

November 27th, 2007

I somehow managed to get everything that was on my to do list done today! Yahoo Nico :) Tonight we are off to the Christmas parade, and a quick weather check has the temp at 50 degrees (but it feels like 46). I had better bundle up the boys and get ready to go ;)

What to do this week

November 27th, 2007

This week has quickly gone from what to do, to what all I have to do… This is going to be one busy week:

  • Today: Grocery Shop, Go to the Post Office, Christmas Parade at 6:00 p.m. (I hope it is not too cold, it is going to get down to 24 tonight)
  • Wednesday: Get the oil changed in Hubby’s Car, and Give Thade a Hair-cut
  • Thursday: Bake 5 dozen cookies for Hubby’s Work for Friday
  • Friday: Christmas Pictures of the boys at 3:00 p.m. (out of town, and the Grandmas will finally be happy)
  • Saturday:Final day on this week’s Walgreens penny sale
  • Sunday: Local (but out of town for me) Dollar Tree 10% off $10.00 sale- I’m going to try and make this one, if the weather cooperates

I’m still decorating the house, yesterday I started on the outside, but I quickly ran out of garland. I’ll pick up some more at the store today, and hopefully get the outdoors finished during the warmest part of the day. I’m just about finished inside, and I got the boy’s tree up last night, and it looks great. Thade was a little disappointed though, he thought his tree would be much bigger, no complaints from Dylan ;)

Nico the Cleaning Machine

November 26th, 2007

Do you ever feel like you are cleaning something constantly? I feel that way today, “Hurricane Thade” has once again descended upon the house and this time he has destroyed both floors. The living room is a mess, the foyer is a mess, and his bedroom is beyond a giant mess.

All day I’ve been trying to finish little projects, but I’ve been too busy cleaning up all of these messes. Here’s hoping that I get lots of organizational supplies for Christmas, and that Thade learns how to use them.
