Little Miss Migraine

Today I have yet another migraine, and I’m just not feeling well at all. You know what that calls for, a Homemade Vanilla Iced Coffee or two

Today Thade was up bright and early at 6:45 a.m. Dylan is FINALLY down for a nap. Dylan has been pretty grumpy the last week. I have take him to the Doctor next week for his six month check up. Maybe she can shed some light on his grumpiness. He is also due for four more shots, so I don’t think that will help with the grumpiness at all.

I’m off to finish that second Iced Coffee, and take a little rest on the couch.

Winter Worries

Early morning I usually flip on the news and see what is going on in the world, and I don’t know if I can stomach that task any more. This morning I was flipping through the channels and stopped on CNBC. I started reading the scrolling headlines, and one disturbing headline caught my eye. Projected: Winter home heating costs to rise an average of 10%! Nico’s stress level is now at a 12 out of 10.

Last year we spent our first Winter in our new home, and heating costs were astronomical. I can’t imagine what they will be like this Winter, or even how to budget for the increase. I’ve been stressing about Winter utility costs since about mid-Summer. Here’s hoping for a mild Winter.

What steps are you taking to winterize your home? How do you keep your energy costs bearable?

Monday Errands

Well the shopping will have to be done a little later. Today Thade noticed that a brand new episode of Yo Gabba Gabba! would be on, so we gotta stay home and catch that. He loves this show. Today there was a great ska song about cleaning up. It was called “Pick It Up”. It was so cute, and hey who doesn’t love a song about cleaning? The show today keeps getting better Tony Hawk is teaching everybody how to skateboard, love it. Now we may never get the errands run.

We have to go to the store, and my list is HUGE. I’m buying a few meals ahead for next week( James is off on Monday), and getting all of our supplies for the NASCAR races this weekend ( sun block, ear plugs). It is going to be a pricey outing I also have to run to the post office. We’ll see what I can get done today, I’ve still got a yucky headache. I had better go and make lunch, so that way I’m not too tempted to buy too many snacks.
