Monday Errands

September 24th, 2007

Well the shopping will have to be done a little later. Today Thade noticed that a brand new episode of Yo Gabba Gabba! would be on, so we gotta stay home and catch that. He loves this show. Today there was a great ska song about cleaning up. It was called “Pick It Up”. It was so cute, and hey who doesn’t love a song about cleaning? The show today keeps getting better Tony Hawk is teaching everybody how to skateboard, love it. Now we may never get the errands run.

We have to go to the store, and my list is HUGE. I’m buying a few meals ahead for next week( James is off on Monday), and getting all of our supplies for the NASCAR races this weekend ( sun block, ear plugs). It is going to be a pricey outing :( I also have to run to the post office. We’ll see what I can get done today, I’ve still got a yucky headache. I had better go and make lunch, so that way I’m not too tempted to buy too many snacks.

Outing Accomplished

September 23rd, 2007

Yesterday evening Dylan and I went to a baby shower. The baby shower was at 6:30 p.m. I knew I needed to make dinner early, and have everything ready to go by 6:00 p.m.

Yesterday was also the day that Thade and Dylan both decided to take an unexpected afternoon nap. At 3:00 p.m. Thade fell asleep, and stayed asleep until 6:00 p.m. While I fixed dinner Dylan fell asleep, and stayed asleep until 6:10 p.m.  I lucked out though. I was following a friend to the baby shower, and she was running late too. Continue reading »

Seven Days

September 22nd, 2007

This morning my hubby informed me that is now just seven days till we go on vacation! I can’t wait. I’m still getting the house together for guests, and freezer stocked with food. I feel like I have been cooking something for somebody non-stop. There is still so much to be done, I should have started earlier.

I deliver my five dozen cookies this morning. Thade was super happy to see that many cookies in the house, I had a few left over for him and hubby too ;) I think this weekend is going to be busy, lots to clean, and lots to cook. Better get to it! Have a great weekend!

Babyland aka the Living Room

September 21st, 2007

My living room is one big cluttered babyland at the moment, and I am one tired Mommy. Today I cleaned the Jumperoo for Dylan, I forgot how huge this jumper is. I also cleaned the playpen, another huge item. The living room was already getting a little crowded with toys and too much stuff. The addition of two more giant baby items has put the living room at full capacity for toddler and baby gear.

The good part Dylan loves the Jumperoo. He has had a great time bouncing today. I guess I’ll just have to get used to the mess for a little while ;)
