Busy weekend
I’m trying to go grocery shopping once a month for meals, but I’m finding myself in the grocery store every week. Today is no exception… James has to go to the eye doctor at 10:00 a.m., so I thought that Thade and I would tag along too, and I would pick up a few supplies, milk, bread, etc. I started making a small list, but the list isn’t staying small, it is now over $50.00 and growing. Oh well, we gotta eat.
I’ve got to get in some house cleaning today too, the in-laws couldn’t make it last weekend, so I think on Sunday we’ll have company. I’m also thinking about baking some cupcakes, or cookies. I’m in a pastry mood for sure. I might have to put baking ahead of house cleaning. I guess it is a good thing that I woke up at 5:30 a.m. today.

Rainy Day
I swear I wait until the weather is super nasty, and then I gas up my car. This happens all to often around here. I could have done it yesterday, when it was 60 and sunny, but no I wait until it is absolutely necessary, and pouring down rain to get the chore done. The good part, at least it isn’t freezing rain.
I need to go and pick up milk too, so it is quickly turning into another errands day. I need to get motivated and get the chores done early, so it is off to the shower for me.

One less place to pick up dinner
If you are like me, and you grew up in Southwest Missouri, then chances are that you ate at a Gringo’s, and became addicted to their super yummy dishes too. When my hubby and I moved to Kansas we had to leave our beloved Gringo’s behind. When we moved again, a Gringo’s was opened just a mere 20 minutes from our new house! Happily we ate there whenever we could, or picked up drive-thru anytime we got a chance. Thade even became obsessed with eating at Gringo’s too, I couldn’t be happier. All was well.
But just 2 short days ago, we were running errands, and going to stop off at Gringo’s to pick-up dinner, and there was a for sale sign out in front of our beloved restaurant. I’m still bummed about it, and I’m really missing their super yummy nachos. Gringo’s is still an hour away, so we’ll visit when we can. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed that maybe one day Gringo’s will head north and set up a shop in our town.
