Shopping Day
Today the little guy and I were off on a shopping adventure. I didn’t feel like driving 30 minutes to go to the nearest supercenter, so it was off to the local way too expensive grocery store, and a hope not to spend too much along the way. I’m cooking dinner for my brother on Saturday, it is his birthday. I set my budget for $60.00, and came out of the store for about $41.00, so way to go nico! Thade was great too, no tantrums, and a really long nap after lunch.
There is good news, our little town is finally getting a supercenter. It should be open next month, so I will no longer have the hour round trip to go grocery shopping! I can’t wait! I’ll be saving time and money too.

Finally the cold weather has gone away, at least for a little while. And boy do we need the break, I just got the gas bill today, and I’m still recovering. We are going to get out this afternoon and run a few errands, thank goodness Spring is almost here.

Today was the Daytona 500, and it was an amazing race. Kevin Harvick (James favorite driver) came up with the win, and swept the weekend. I’m so happy that NASCAR is back, even if my driver didn’t win. I can’t wait until next weekend’s race!
James already got our tickets for later in the year, we get to go to a Busch race, and a chase for the Nextel cup race in September. September can’t get here soon enough!!!

Today I’m off to my local discount store to fill a much needed prescription. It was called in yesterday, but it was too cold to get the little guy out, so today was the day. I spotted the really long line, and decided to go shopping for the rest of my list. We shopped for a half an hour, and headed back to the pharmacy, yet another giant line. I waited, and a really nice guy let me in front of him (thanks to the nice person waiting in line for way too long too), and the Pharmacist said there was a problem in filling my prescription. I was super mad.
Off to another line to wait to see what the problem is, gotta have the Dr’s office call in the prescription again, and wait while it is being filled. I called the Dr’s office explained the problem, relayed the message to the pharmacist’s assistant, and then I get the “do you actually even need to fill the prescription, it is going to be a 10 to 15 minute wait”. This is twice that I have been asked this, and yeah I really do. The previous time it was a three hour wait, and I gave up went home, and came back the next day. And yeah I really needed to fill the prescription.
So off to more shopping, and waiting in lines. Finally the check-out and way too much money later, I’m super grumpy, and sick of shopping! The next time I have to fill a prescription, I’m going to a different pharmacy, I guess they really don’t need my business.
